Brain Fog
I confess that, in these past months, I've been suffering from an acute case of brain fog. I've sort of just been drifting through life without really paying attention to anything. I should probably do something about that, right about now. I work best with a deadline, but lately I haven't been taking my deadlines seriously. It's why I never post any new writings or articles on this site. So, for this week, I'm doing a little something to get back on the horse.
Basically all I'm doing is actually posting real content all throughout next week. The Gods and Deities article of the Encyclopaedia has been laying around half-finished, so I'm finally going to drive the nail in and get it done. Same thing with the next chapter of the Eternal City. I've actually had the chapter after the next one written for a while, but I couldn't post it before I got this one down. I'm about halfway through "The Machine" and this time, I'm not gonna chicken out and I'm going to post it.
Come hell or high water, those deadlines will get done.
Reviews
I cringe hard at my media reviews. I wonder if I shouldn't scrap the page as a whole and hurtle it into the void. The main reason I came up with it is so that I could have a personal record of things I've consumed. Maybe I'll lay off the actual review side of things, give each thing a brief sentence or two with my thoughts, the score, and then the reaction image. That'll make it easier to finish and post the reviews in the future.
Drawing
I haven't practiced drawing in two weeks... that being said, I'm going to try and make an illustration for the True Reality article this week, too. It'll be black and white because I dread the thought of using color. A simple diagram of True Reality should suffice. Illustrations of each layer will come later.
Site General
I've officially created the Local Void page and populated it with a couple chunks of content. I've also begun transitioning the home page links to be customized icons instead of those clunky, stock background banners. Biggest and most important, I went ahead and actually changed the site's domain and my username. My gamer tag just wasn't cutting it any more. That's all I can think of. Oh yea, and I have three followers now. I'm practically a full-fledged celebrity.
Life Stuff
Lots of stuff going on. I went to watch the new Resident Evil to kick off spooky season. It was good, a lot better than I thought it would be. Still a lot of stuff going on school-wise, but that'll never change. I'm getting interviewed for an IT job on Tuesday. I'm a little nervous but I also know the guy who may or may not hire me. Not sure if that makes it better or worse.
